This account features projects from a digital audio production class taken through the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. In this class, we learned how to record and edit audio both in the studio and out in the world. My audio skillset includes a variety of corrective and creative spectral, dynamic and time based effects through Adobe Audition and Pro Tools.
Though I consider myself a visual artist, I thoroughly enjoy learning about sound as an art form and subject of metaphysics.
A component of a digital audio production class, this assignment presented the task of aligning a voiceover and sound effects with graphics. We were provided a folder containing the graphics, music bed, script and sample voice over. We paired up in the studio to obtain an original voice recording. The next step was finding and pairing at least 40 sound effects to graphics to enhance viewer engagement.
Before the Yellow (2018) was a semester-long creative partnership between myself and Jackson Burton, a talented musician & producer. Burton produced and play the instruments on the tracks while I wrote the lyrics & melodies.
